'평창 블록체인 사하라 리조트' 런칭… "비트코인·사하라 토큰 등 이용 가능"

[블록체인투데이 한지혜 기자] 평창 사하라 리조트가 블록체인 애호가들이 이용할 수 있는 '블록체인 사하라 리조트'로 탈바꿈한다. 사하라 리조트는 동계 올림픽 개최지로 전 세계에 알려진 알펜시아 골프장과 인접한 곳에 위치하고 있다.
19일 사하라 스트리트 LCC는 이같은 소식과 함께 "비트코인, 이더리움, 사하라토큰으로 이용이 가능하며 전 세계 투자자들은 소액으로 투자가 가능하다"라며 "평창 사하라 리조트를 시작으로 국내 최고 휴양지에 체인벨트를 만들 계획"이라고 밝혔다. 또한 "향후 메타버스와 NFT 플랫폼을 통한 공유·나눔으로 2차, 3차 수익을 투자자들에게 제공할 것"이라고 덧붙였다.
사하라 리조트는 강원도 평창군 대관령면 수하리에 위치하고 있으며 평창 최중심 타운하우스로 주목 받고 있다. 단지는 평창 최중심 입지에 위치해 올림픽 특수를 직접적으로 누리는 것이 장점이다. 먼저 단지는 평창올림픽의 개,폐회식이 열렸던 평창 올림픽 플라자가 인접해 있어 도보로 이용이 가능하다. 또 주변으로 크로스컨트리센터, 바이애슬론센터, 스키점프센터, 슬라이딩센터 등 여러 종목의 경기장이 위치해 5분대로 이동이 가능하다. 특히 단지에서 이러한 시설을 모두 조망이 가능한 위치로 눈길을 끈다.
